Understanding IPD Adjustment
Interpupillary Distance (IPD) is the measurement between the centers of your pupils. In VR, matching your headset's lens spacing to your IPD is vital for achieving a clear image and preventing eye strain. Most modern headsets offer either a physical slider or software-based adjustments to change this distance. If the IPD is set incorrectly, you may experience blurriness, 'god rays,' or even headaches. You can measure your IPD using a simple ruler and a mirror or by using dedicated mobile apps designed for this purpose.
